NEW HALL PLANS
The new hall will run parallel to the road and be set further back. This orientation together with removal of some trees will enhance solar gain through the substantial glass areas to be provided. A high standard of insulation should then ensure low heating demand from an automatic boiler fuelled by wood-pellet. (Click for more info mgl-biomass website)
The main hall will be of 17.4m length, 7.9m width and have marginally sufficient height to allow badminton. A new feature will be a meeting room (to be used also for meals). Store, kitchen, w.c.s and plant room will be at the rear and a lobby at the front. A covered south facing veranda should be appreciated in rain or warm weather.
Construction will use masonite walls (enhancing insulation) with stone facing at the front. There will be space between hall and road for 6 disabled-user cars.
You'll need Adobe PDF Reader software on your computer to view the plans themselves which are linked below. (Adobe Reader is obtainable by free download but is an absurdly hefty one!) The plans will then be rather slow to download to you. Click scale in your pdf reader to study text and feature details.
